Welcome back everybody. So, you’ve just spent some time looking at your great successes of 2016. Congratulations! Now it’s time to look at the year ahead. What are your goals for 2017? It’s time to write those goals down.

I came across a very interesting study done at Harvard Business School. When they were asked if they had written down their goals or if they had goals, the incoming students of the business program said only three percent of them had actually written down goals. Three percent! Another thirteen percent had their goals in mind but hadn’t written them down. They were rummaging around up here, kind of loosely perhaps. Eighty-four percent had actually no goals whatsoever. Well imagine that.

How can we achieve what we want to achieve without a blueprint, without a springboard into what we want to gain in our lives? So that’s your assignment today. What are your goals, what are your dreams, what is your vision for how 2017 will look for you? Again, take some time for yourself, sit down in a quiet area and dream. What is it that you would love to have happen for you in 2017? In relationships, in work, in your community. What is it you would love to achieve for yourself? Write those things down.

I think it really helps to have a community where we hold each other accountable, so I’m going to hold myself accountable to you and that is for 2017 I’m going to come out with 24 new awesome videos to teach you to become the best speaker you can be. 24 videos–that’s two a month. I’ll check back in from time to time to see what my progress is, how it feels for me, what that looks like and to find out from you what your progress has been to remotivate you, to keep you going. Because remember it’s by taking small steps the great objectives are achieved. Write down your goals. It’s the first step to making your dreams become a reality.
