What are the goals of working on Voice & Speech?

What can I expect in a live coaching session with Patrick?
Each session is 50 minutes in duration and takes place via the Zoom videoconferencing platform. Please have an active, free account with Zoom™ and have the software installed and tested before your appointment begins. This way, every available minute is spent with you and not technical difficulties.
Other videoconference platforms are available. Just get in touch and we’ll work it out.
A portion of each session will be recorded and you will record or receive a copy of your session to download. In your first meeting, Patrick will evaluate your voice and speech and will tailor a Voice and Speech program that is right for you.
Can I really eliminate my accent? How long does that take?
Accents are important because they identify where you come from, but become a problem when people can’t understand you. Accent work depends on your own goals. Whether you would like to learn the Standard American Accent, learn a new accent or dialect, or improve the clarity of your speech, Patrick can help you identify and remove those stumbling blocks to help you reach your goals.
The answer is different for everyone. If English is your first language, you CAN eliminate regional accents. At least 6-12 sessions are recommended. You will always feel and hear results immediately.
I don't like the way I sound. Can I change that?

How long does it take to change my voice?
It varies for each person, depending on their goals. You will see, feel, and hear results in your first session. Ideally, a length of study should be at least 6-12 lessons to ensure optimal results.
FAQ: Online Courses
How do your online courses work?
Great question! Purchasing enrollment in an online course will give you immediate access to that course’s training. You may start your course at any time, leave and pick up where you left off at any time, and since the courses are not timed you may take as long as you like to proceed and complete the course.
Keep in mind:
Lessons in all Accent: American courses must be initially completed in the order presented.
As you complete each lesson, you may go back and revisit them in any order. But new lessons must be completed in-order the first time through.
After completing a course, all lessons are available to revisit in any order.
What will I learn?
Be prepared… Each course contains many hours of voice & speech training. You’ll learn a great deal about the course subject in theory and in practice. It’s very similar to in-person coaching and should feel much like a private session with Patrick.
Patrick has created these online courses with special care, tailoring each of them to address his students’ needs.
Visiting any of the Online Courses on this website will present you with an information tab titled, “Lesson Plan.” Each course has its’ own lesson plan which lists the title and duration of every lesson contained within.
Will my courses ever change?
The short answer is No. Although with an exception…
We must reserve the option to update and improve course content as necessary.
The overall course structure and its information is planned to remain unchanged in the future. But if a change or valuable improvement is made, currently enrolled students will never be required to pay again to access those changes.
If we make changes or updates to a course, they will be accessible to everyone automatically.
